1800's mining town is full of history and "The Livliest Ghost Town in the West." While you're
there, try your hand at some sapphire mining at The Sapphire Gallery or Gem Mountain or enjoy some of your
old favorite candies at The Sweet Palace. The Bearmouth area, once the trail head to the gold camps of the Garnet Mountains, now provides visitors an opportunity to tour the abandoned ghost towns and reflect upon their bustling history. For a feeling of that time, gold panning can be done just down from the Chalet.
